Your image is printed in full colour onto canvas, then stretched by hand over a solid 20mm thick wooden frame and secured with staples on the reverse. A sawtooth bracket is fitted to the back so the canvas hangs straight and level, ready to go on the wall the moment it arrives — no separate frame, no assembly, no fuss. The 20mm frame gives the canvas a clean, contemporary depth that sits proud of the wall and looks finished from every angle.

Getting your artwork right for canvas printing

Canvas printing has one important difference from flat print: the image wraps around the edge of the frame, so your artwork needs preparing for that wrap. Follow these specifications for the best result:

• Include 20mm bleed on all sides — this area wraps around the frame and may appear on the final print, so extend your image (not important content) into it. Keep crop marks and colour bars outside the 20mm bleed.
• Supply as a CMYK PDF, preferably PDF/X-1a format.
• Outline or embed your fonts.
• 150 dpi resolution at a 1:1 scale (actual print size).
• Minimum line weight 0.5pt; minimum font size 12pt for clean reproduction.

Keep anything you don't want wrapped around the edge — faces, text, key detail — well inside the frame area, not in the 20mm wrap zone. Not sure your file's right? Send it and we'll check it before printing.

Before we print: every canvas is checked

Before your canvas goes to press, our production team checks your file for image quality and resolution, the 20mm wrap allowance, CMYK colour, and that important content sits safely inside the frame rather than in the wrap zone.

The most common issue we see is important detail — a face, a caption, a horizon — placed too close to the edge, where it disappears around the side of the frame. We flag this before printing so you can adjust it, rather than discovering it on the finished canvas.
