A5 Order Of Service

A5 Order Of Service

A5 Order of Service Printing in Croydon, London and Across the UK

There are moments in life that shouldn't fade, they deserve something you can hold and keep close. If you're planning a wedding, a funeral, a church service or any ceremony in between, an A5 Order of Service booklet helps bring structure, comfort and meaning. It guides guests, sets the tone, and becomes something they often hold onto afterwards.

At I You Print, right here in Croydon, we specialise in helping you create printed pieces that feel personal and polished. Over the years, we've worked with families, couples, churches and organisers all over London and the UK, providing everything from simple A5 funeral service programs to elegant A5 wedding ceremony booklets, all printed to a high standard and turned around fast when needed.

Let's walk you through all the ways you can customise your A5 Order of Service to make it truly yours.

What Makes A5 the Right Choice?

A5 is a popular choice because it's easy to carry, easy to read, and looks great. It's half the size of A4 but it still offers plenty of space for readings, hymns, songs, schedules, tributes, or even photographs. If you're organising a small family gathering or a formal church ceremony, A5 size works well for almost any event. It's neat, professional, and easy to fit in a pocket or handbag. It also makes for a lovely keepsake. We often hear from customers that these booklets are the one thing people take home and keep.

Print Finish Options

You don't have to go for lamination, but it can really change how your booklet looks and feels in the hand.

  • No Lamination – Nice and simple. No shine, just a clean, natural feel.
  • Gloss Lamination – Bright and shiny. Colours stand out more.
  • Matt Lamination – Smooth and modern. Not shiny, but really smart-looking.
  • Soft Touch Lamination – This one feels lovely, soft and velvety.

If you're not sure whether you need lamination or not, just think about how the booklet will be used. If people will be handling it a lot, or if it's an outdoor event, lamination will help keep it looking good.

How Your Booklet Opens

It might not be the first thing you think about, but the side you choose to bind your booklet on actually matters. It changes how it feels when someone picks it up, flips through it, or holds onto it during the day.

  • Long Edge Binding – Opens like a magazine, side to side. Feels familiar, easy to follow, no surprises.
  • Short Edge Binding – Opens from the top, more like a notepad. Handy if your design is landscape.

Both are stapled neatly and folded straight, no fuss. Just a clean, solid finish that feels right in your hands.

Turnaround Times

We understand that sometimes you have weeks to plan, and sometimes life throws you into rush mode. That's why we offer a range of turnaround options:

  • Same Day Express
  • 1 Working Day
  • 3–4 Working Days

Paper Stock Options

The feel of your booklet really comes down to the paper. It's one of those details people notice, even if they don't realise it right away. We've got plenty of options, depending on the kind of look you're going for and what kind of budget you're working with.

Inner Pages

  • 90gsm Uncoated – Light, no coating, just plain paper.
  • 115gsm Silk – A bit smoother. Still light, but has a soft, coated feel.
  • 120gsm Uncoated – A little thicker than standard. Has that nice, classic paper texture.
  • 130gsm Gloss – Shiny and smooth. Good if you've got images or want a bit of pop.
  • 150gsm Silk – Feels solid without being heavy. Smooth and neat.
  • 170gsm Silk or Uncoated – Heavier stock, feels a bit more special.

For Covers
    • 90gsm to 170gsm – These match the inner pages. Keeps everything soft and lightweight.
    • 250gsm Silk or Uncoated – Thicker cover that gives the booklet some structure. Has a nice feel in your hands.
    • 350gsm Silk – This is the thick one. Feels sturdy and smooth.

If you're using a thicker cover, we'd usually recommend laminating it. Helps keep it clean, adds a bit of shine or a nice matte look, and makes it last longer, especially if people will be handling it a lot.

    Embellishment Options

If you're going for something special, embellishments are a great way to add a finishing touch. These optional extras help your design stand out and add a tactile element people will notice.

    • Spot UV (Low or High Build, Single or Double Sided) – Adds a clear, glossy layer to selected areas like names, titles or icons.
    • Gold Foil (Single Sided) – Warm and traditional. A lovely detail for weddings, anniversaries or formal church events.
    • Silver Foil (Single Sided) – Sleek and modern. Works well with black-and-white designs or minimal layouts.

Embellishments aren't essential, but they do leave a lasting impression, particularly on A5 wedding ceremony booklets or A5 memorial service prints that people will hold onto.

    Page Count Options

We print A5 order of service booklets from 8 pages (8pp) up to 72 pages (72pp). It's important to think about how much content you need.

    • 8pp–12pp – Simple services. Ideal for funerals or short ceremonies.
    • 16pp–24pp – Our most popular range for weddings and general services.
    • 36pp–72pp – For full programmes, longer services or multi-part events with hymns, bios, dedications or image galleries.

We can also show you examples or walk you through what usually fits into each booklet size.

    Print Quantity

We can print anywhere between 25 and 50,000 copies. If you're planning an intimate gathering or a large public event, we'll help you choose the right quantity and ensure consistency from the first copy to the last.
