A4 Stapled Bound Brochures, Printed Your Way at I You Print

Maintaining simplicity is highly commendable. The A4 stapled brochure is one of those formats that's been around forever because it works. This format consists of a simple set of pages that are folded in half and stapled along the centre. It looks sharp, feels professional, and isn't expensive.

At I You Print, we've printed A4 stapled brochures for just about every kind of business and event you can imagine. Schools in Croydon have ordered prospectuses. London agencies need a same-day turnaround for a pitch deck. UK-wide campaigns are mailing out product catalogues by the thousand. It's one of those products that suits everyone from a small local café to a big national brand.

The Size, Why A4 Hits the Sweet Spot

We stick to A4 here (210 mm x 297 mm) because it's the size most people expect when they hear “brochure”. It's familiar. Big enough to fit in attractive photos, long paragraphs, and bold headings without feeling cramped. However, it is not so large that it becomes awkward to carry around or store.

If you're using it for something like a London trade show handout or a Croydon business report, your audience can slip it into a bag or folder without folding it up. And for us, A4 runs cleanly through the presses and finishing machines, so you're not paying extra for unusual sizes unless you really want them.

Paper for the Inside Pages, The Feel in Your Hands

People notice paper, even if they don't realise it. A flimsy brochure feels cheap. A heavy one feels more premium. The paper stock you choose changes everything. We've got:

  • 90gsm Uncoated – Light, affordable, and good for lots of text or when you want that recycled, eco-friendly vibe.
  • 115gsm Silk – Smooth with a soft sheen; the sort of stock you see in smart company brochures.
  • 120gsm Uncoated – A touch thicker than 90gsm, still natural and writable.
  • 130gsm Gloss – Bright and shiny; photos jump off the page.
  • 150gsm Silk – A nice balance which is not too light and not too heavy.
  • 170gsm Silk – Premium feel without being too thick to fold neatly.
  • 170gsm Uncoated – Chunky, tactile, and perfect for brands who like a natural look.

If you're going for cheap A4 brochure printing in London but don't want it to feel cheap, I'd say 150 gsm silk is your friend.

Binding Edge, Which Way Does It Open?

With stapled binding (also called saddle-stitching), you get two options:

  • Long Edge Bound – The classic. Opens like a book. Works for pretty much everything.
  • Short Edge Bound – Opens from the short side. Great for landscape designs, charts, or anything that looks better wide than tall.

Most A4 stapled booklets we print in Croydon are long edge bound, but every so often someone chooses short edge just to be different and it does turn heads.

Covers, The First Thing People Notice

Your cover is more than just protection, it's the first thing people see and the first thing they feel. You can match it to the inside pages if you want a uniform feel or go thicker to give it more presence.

We do covers in:

  • 90 gsm Uncoated
  • 115 gsm Silk
  • 120 gsm Uncoated
  • 130 gsm Gloss
  • 150 gsm Silk
  • 170 gsm Silk
  • 170 gsm Uncoated
  • 250 gsm Silk
  • 250 gsm Uncoated
  • 350 gsm Silk

If you want that premium stitched A4 brochure look, a 250gsm or 350gsm cover with a bit of lamination looks and feels top-drawer.

Page Count, From Slim to Substantial

We can do 8 pages up to 72 pages (including the cover). Because stapled brochures are made from folded sheets, the total has to be a multiple of four.

So if you've got a 32 pp company magazine or an 8 pp event programme, you're fine. If you send us something with 25 pages, we'll let you know you'll need to add or remove a page to make it work. We always check files before going to print so you don't get an ugly surprise.

Lamination, A Protective Layer

Lamination isn't just for show – it protects the cover from scuffs, fingerprints, and moisture. We can do:

  • No Lamination – Keep it natural.
  • Gloss Lamination (Single/Double) – Shiny, colours really stand out.
  • Matte Lamination (Single/Double) – Smooth, no glare, a bit understated.
  • Soft Touch Lamination (Single/Double) – Feels like velvet; people can't help stroking it.

For A4 brochures in Croydon that need to survive being handed around all day, lamination is worth it.

Embellishments, Extra Touches that make it Special

Do you want people to actually stop and look? Add an embellishment. We can do:

  • Spot UV (High Build or Low Build, Single or Double Sided) – Shiny highlights on certain areas of your cover.
  • Single-sided Gold Foil – Rich and classy.
  • Single-sided Silver Foil – Sleek and modern.

If you put spot UV on a matte laminated cover, the contrast looks incredible. It's one of those details people notice without quite knowing why.

Turnaround – We Work to Your Deadline

Some jobs take planning; others are panic stations. Either way, we've got you.

  • 1 Working Day – For same-day A4 stapled brochures in London or Croydon.
  • 3–4 Working Days – Standard turnaround, cheaper for bigger runs.

We've pulled off some ridiculous deadlines over the years. If you're in a pinch, give us a ring, we'll tell you straight if it's doable.

Quantities, Small Run or Mass Order

We can print anywhere from 25 copies to 50,000. That covers small local events right up to national campaigns. A lot of London A4 brochure orders sit around the 500 to 1,000 mark, but we'll quote whatever number you actually need. No minimums beyond the 25-copy starting point.
